Frequently Asked Questions

  • The HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis) is included in the package. This lab looks at mineral levels, heavy metals, cellular function, adrenal function and thyroid function.

Other than the HTMA, the labs are a separate cost.

The only lab I require is a GI-MAP test because it provides incredible insight into gut health and immune function. This lab runs $350 (including tax and shipping). I will order the test and you will pay the lab directly.

We will discuss which additional labs would be beneficial to run based on symptoms, budget, lifestyle and medical history, and personal health goals. If cost and budget is a factor, we can start with the HTMA and GI MAP, and add on additional labs later.

  • Although I work in healthcare and am a licensed occupational therapist, I am unable to take insurance because I am not a doctor, nurse practitioner, physician’s assistant, etc. However, it is possible to get labs reimbursed through an FSA or pay for your entire package with an HSA card.

  • Supplement cost and other healing modalities vary, but can cost up to $500 a month, and will decrease as your body heals. I don’t believe in “over-supplementing” and will only recommend the supplements that are appropriate and necessary for healing.

Good quality food and non-toxic products can be costly, but I will meet you where you are and will provide tons of tips on how to save money in these categories :)

  • I am a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner and have been certified through Functional Diagnostic Nutrition. This certification is an extensive, in-depth training in the biology and physiology of our body systems - hormones, immune system, detoxification, digestion, energy production, and nervous system. We are also heavily educated and trained in ordering, analyzing, and drawing correlations between functional lab markers to find root cause, hidden stressors of the body. I am skilled in creating and providing client protocols including nutrition, sleep, stress reduction, exercise, and reducing toxin exposure.

I also have taken an advanced course in blood chemistry analysis (bloodwork).

I have a masters degree in occupational therapy and work as a hand therapist specializing in orthopedic injuries and neurological conditions — skilled in the anatomy and physiology of the body. I work with patients daily in helping them recover from injuries focused on the healing timeframes of bones, ligaments, tendons, nerves, etc., and getting them back to the things they love to do and need to do, not only from a physical perspective through exercises, but also through a holistic perspective (nutrition, rest, and other modalities that are key to healing from injuries). My healthcare background and skillset allows me to help others from every aspect of health.

  • No! The core mission of my business is to make functional medicine convenient and accessible for my clients. With that in mind, the program I’ve designed is conducted virtually so I can be there with you when you need. All of our sessions will happen via Zoom, and the labs we order for you are drop shipped to your home.

  • Yes! Absolutely. Ask my husband :)
